forging with a girl?!?!

I have enough room on my work bench for another pair of hands if she would like to make sheaths! That way she would have a well rounded knowledge of knife making from the metal and leather disciplines-----even though she seems to be well rounded already! Ah!, to be young again!!!!! ---Sandy---
 
What you need to do is some more filming. I wouldn't mind having a tutorial on how to get one of them in my shop! :)
 
The next thing you know she will measuring the windows for new drapes and wanting to paint your shop muave, taupe or some other chick color. Right now she is online looking for the Martha Stewart line of knife shop decorum.

Imagine your shock when you go out there and find an anvil cozy and hand ebroidered tong doilies. All of your hammers will have a little pink lacey bow tied on the handles. After everything gets re-arranged you will spend the next 17 years trying find your tools.

Next week UPS will be delivering the 'Hello Kitty' tool holders. After that it will start to get really wierd. Don't say we didn't try to warn you.

Sounds good ta me!

Back at school, there were plenty of "art chicks" who were into metals work, including the blacksmithing courses. Several were pretty goldurned good artist blacksmiths. Several also did fine metals.
