Forgive a proud poppa but take a look......

Congratulations Greg and Greg Jr.

A dedicated teacher and a thoughtful, intelligent student. You both have good reason to be proud. Thanks for giving us the chance to read and enjoy a fine essay.

You're Blessed Greg. You have a handsome son with a fine attitude towards knives and the beautiful place that you live. Congrats. Thank you both for sharing it with us.

Thanks for all of the great replies. Greg Jr. and I both appreciate it. We're going to print out this thread when it's done and this will be a wonderful keepsake for him. Thank you all for your wonderful comments. This is why I love this place so much. Silver....Greg says he would be proud if you hand up his essay in your office.
Have a great holiday all.
Regards,

Forgive my tardiness, Greg (new job, holidays, and all) but I was so glad to see this. Great pic, too! Give my congrats to Greg Jr again!

Greg,

My apologies too.... odd times, lost one of our troops in Turkey, the wing king just made BGen, and of course Thanksgiving... so I'm tardy here as well.

Having read Greg Jr.'s opus several months ago, I find it hasn't diminished a whit over time

! Looking forward to see that magazine in hand. I'm sure when he's older he'll look back on this chapter of his life with great fondness. To have received the attention of such notables as Bill Moran will undoubtedly take on even greater meaning as Greg Jr. gets older. Greg, I'm sure you're doing everything possible to protect the integrity of all the facets involved for archiving. And proud may be too hackneyed a term to use to describe your feelings about what's happened to Greg Jr.... heck we detect your "beaming" all the way down here in South dakota and, no, we know it's not the Northern Lights

Congrats' I guess that Knife thing is hereditary! It was good of you to post the article, I had searched the magazines and thought I was going crazy, couldn't find it, I'll be sure to pick up a copy when it comes out in December!

And I can't believe that you are giving him the Fowler for Christmas! You are too kind!!!

.
G2,
That sound you hear from Kodiak to Pennsylvania is my laughter. Surely you jest, sir. I don't like the kid that much

Excellent essay Greg Jr. and congratulations on a well deserved contest win. My love of knives also began as soon as I was old and responsible enough to use one properly and responsibly. You have obviously been taught these lessons well. Hats off to dad for leading the way.

Congratulations, Greg (and Greg Jr.) Great essay. That's a fine boy you're raising. After a long battle with my wife, my son is finally getting his first quality knife for Christmas this year. I ordered one of those new Victorinox WorkChamps for him. I hope that he respects knives as much as your son does. Great job!
