The only exposure I've had to the Filipino arts is a book on Modern Arnis, and I'm a bit confused. Arnis is single stick fighting, eskrima is double stick fighting, and kali is knife fighting...is that correct? I am interested in studying them all, but I want to know what to look for, and know what I'm talking about. If this is incorrect, could someone set me straight?

Arnis, Kali, and Eskrima all have stick, knife, sword, and empty hand techniques. Some schools just place more emphasis on different parts of FMA. It might be mostly stick work, or knife work(Sayoc Kali for example), or a mixture of both.

Check out these websites for a lot more info on the FMA.
