Forgot my knives today!

KNIFELESS:eek: I hate when that happens in fact it's been so long for me I have almost forgotten what it's like but it has happened.

I forgot to bring a knife with me twice. I hated the feeling of being without one. I took a SAK to the hospital with me when I went in for heart surgery. That even seems a little wierd to me.

I broke my back once and brought a Camillus EDC to the hospital, i was also given a Victorinox Outrider while in there, kept the SAK in the bed most of the time, seem weird now? :)

It has happened on rare occasions that I step out without my main blade in my back pocket. But if I go in the car or have a house key with me, I have a knife. Got a micra on one set of keys. A Vic Classic on the other. So I am never completely bladeless.

Argg... wors't felling ever... But the plus side is that on this day i'm on my tippy toes all day long. Keep you sharp :)

And for the fly restrcition... Forget it!!
They took my nail clipper and pencil sharpener wich hold an edge of 1/16" or 15mm. Just put your EDC in your checking baggages.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one.

Actually, I realized I have two knives here at work. Found them in a drawer, cold steel large voyager and a bechmade 710. I won't forget about those again. I've been cleaning up from the previous employee and tossed those in my new desk. Oh well:rolleyes:

I keep at least one knife, and a sharpener in my desk drawer. When things get slow, I always have something to occupy my hands.

I hate airplane travel. It always sucks being stuck in an airport with a layover, and having to eat a meal with no knife. I check my knives, so first thing after I get my luggage off the carousel, I grab one, and it's in my pocket before I even leave the terminal.

I haven't gone a full day without a knife since a few years ago when I had to fly with carryon only. Luckily, a guy at the conference took pity on me, and lent me a SAK the next day, for the remainder of the week. He'll never know how much I appreciated that. You guys can understand.

I only forgot my knives once, but it was a hard day! ;) Now I keep some in my car, so I am never without. I have also started keeping at least one knife in my pocket at ALL times. That way if I take it out (other than when I’m using it) I put another one in right away.
