Tell us about your traditional knives and better yet, post photos! What do you like in a knife and why?
Nothing major (ha!, pun intended) to tell of yet. Favorite "traditional" a puma back packer (green). Size and lines of the blade, feels super and my big brother gave it to me = special.
i like small. Loved big blades as a kid, bet we all did. Now i dig smaller practical blades. A double bladed folder; work to exhaustion & call for back up.
The in hand feel&functionality, looks- handle materials, steel that's easy to work with, yeah i'm a wimp.
Pulled out the Puma for reflection, &wow! that's the most beautiful blade, yeah i'm feeling this crazy affinity; bet i never told my brother either.
Thanx for asking, i'm going to tell my bro.
Fam time,

All Ya'll have a knife day!

Hi GT. Some time back I moved to this great united states of blade forums out'a love for all things bladed. i stumbled into Your neck of the woods (the porch, very cool BTW) following BF general discussions. The beauty and nostalgia that accompanies Your knives keeps calling me back. The warm feel of the porch and the accompanied knowledge is intriguing and inviting. I'll ogle the WTK are ya toxin'... on my cell and every time i pull 'em back up on my laptop or PC the depth of detail and craftsmanship sticks me yet again, i could go on.
I appreciate the ha da do GT, thanx.

Thanks for the background info, Cameron! :) I think you nailed it; your sentence that I bolded is the reason I hang around here; amazing place in several ways!:thumbup:

Welcome aboard Cameron.
Thanks for introducing yourself.
Just be aware that you may encounter some irreverent and irrelevant postings from an Australian who lurks these waters like a flabby stingray that thinks it is a White Pointer.
Think nothing of it.Feel free to snicker at his odd rantings though if the mood takes you.

And he doesn't actually hate people from New Zealand.
(except Fes and Duncan):p

Truer words were never spoken!
This is excellent advice, Cameron. ;)

Thanks meako, i suspect the mood'll take. i'm fluent in nonsense and my sarcasm's polished; i aim to keep those tools in the knife drawer though. Aus & NewZ were 2 of the 3 desirable destinations in a conversation just last night. Pa said "Don't play favorites, hate 'em all boy." This should be a great place to stretch&learn, i'm sure You're a great bunch of guys and the rest of ya, well a bunch of, gals of course. cheers

Welcome to the porch man thus is a great please with great people. Engage away and post some pictures of your knives it's sorta like putting a picture to a face lol again welcome I'm sure you will love it here.
