Actually, I am having some trouble with the edge micro-chipping. I have contacted Dana, and he had said it may be caused by an over hard edge.
He just said to try and re do the entire edge, and seeing if that will fix it. I am in the process of re profiling at the moment....In fact I have metal dust all over my hand right now
He said that if it does not fix it, he will make me a new one and send it my way. He is a great guy. I do not blame any of it on him. But hopefully re doing the edge will fix it...I love this hawk
I would really recommend calling him and asking him any question you may have, he is a really nice guy to talk with.
Yes sir! very fast indeed. The site says the overall weight is 2.75lb, but mine only weighs just a little over 1.5lb. Its a great weight.
The wait time is determined by if he has one in stock, or if he has to forge to order. I had to wait about a month and a half or so from date of payment. Mainly because he had a ton of orders before he could get to mine. Also it took about 8 days shipping time to get to me, because I am in Canada.
I am also really, really liking the tapered handle. I was not really fond of it when I first got it, but after some use, I love it. I also really like the size, kind of like a hatchet with an 18" helve...but better![]()
I absolutely love it so far...aside from the micro chipping thing...but if that persists, I get a new oneGreat customer service.
Sounds good! I like the norse hawk but the hammerpoll seems like a good idea. Hmm..Yep, by redoing the edge it fixed the problem. I think it was my own fault that it was chipping...Its all better now though.
I still have to go call Dana and tell him its a good now.
I really recommend Fort Turner Hawks. Going to get to work on a mask for it now![]()
