Forum for traditional knives for sale???

Although I have knives of all types for using and in my collection, my favorites are traditional by far. In my experience they cut better and with more ease than wider bladed knives and they are without question the most difficult manual opening folder to make testing the skill of the maker/producer at higher levels. Maybe that is why I am one of the mods of the Traditional forum.

Part of me wants a sales forum dedicated to them, but when I step back and look at the whole picture on our Forum. It is not a good idea. Having sold quite a few knives last year in order to raise capital for a new business, the way things are worked quite well. Yes you have to wade though a few things in custom and production for sale, but that is not any bigger of a deal than it is for someone looking for a particular knife anyway.
I think setting a precedent to splinter those two forums up by knife type could be a mistake. You reach more of an audience the way it is and there is a much bigger chance you would find someone interested in a particular knife who might not even look at the forum dedicated to buying and selling a particular style of knife. (In this case a traditional knife.)

The only argument I might have would be the speed at which "For Sale" threads get pushed off of the the first page(s) on a daily basis. Having a separate forum just to sale/trade traditionals could help by keeping current sale items visible longer. Additionally, as the OP stated, I also haven't seen any other web forum that has a specific For Sale sub-forum for traditional knives. It would be nice to not have to deal with d'bay all the time.

I also would love to see a sub-forum for just selling traditional knives. That way I don't have to wade through so many other knife threads. I agree with bastid also that it might make it harder and slower to sell them but BFC could always try trail and error I guess.
