Well it appears the Wharncliffe Trapper has won by a land slide but now the question of 1 or 2 blades arises. So get your vote in to help make that decision. Also reply with the "style" of blade you would like for each blade or single blade. Thanks all

well poop

i voted before i read everything, this is for the 2012 forum knife isnt it :/
unlikely that i would be able to get a job and save a little money in time, but i voted two blades because thats what i would have wanted
my bad folks

I voted for two blades. I like the configuration that Trand suggested.

"Trand-pper":
Wharncliffe Trapper
3 1/2" - 3 7/8"
2 blades - Muskrat clip in front of a Wharncliffe blade (Ie standard wharncliffe trapper config)
Barehead with Federal shield works for me.

To be honest, I wouldn't be particularly interested in a single blade, especially since they are already available from GEC, i.e. Fruitport Wharncliffe and a #72 Scout Wharncliffe.

Ditto. I would love to have one in exactly the configuration Trand mentioned.

Yep, two blades as Trand describes.

And I gotta go along with Jake's thoughts when he said:

I want the same as described (Trand-pper); not really interested in a single blade configuration at all.

I wasn't real nuts over the wharncliffe trapper as a single blade. The aforementioned "Trand-pper" config ups my interest considerably.
A muskrat clip blade added would be quite nice.

I'm voting for 2 blades also. I guess a "proper" trapper should have 2 blades which would make it more useful. I've always liked the style of the Case mini trappers w/ the Wharnies (not saying the final product will be Case, but some situations call for a good clip blade).

Well I was out-voted but still happy with the WT choice. My vote goes for two blades. A nicely beveled Wharncliffe primary behind a slender muskrat. Barehead with an acorn shield and natural handles preferably jigged bone.
