Hi folks,
I checked with Brian before posting and have a green light.
Some of us in the traditional knives forum have moved towards ordering a forum knife.
We are going to order a medium stockman with stag scales and blades of high carbon 1095 steel. There will be a modest etch of "BladeForums 08"
The manufacturer will be Northwoods of Gladstone Michigan. The minimum for the order is 50. So far only 40 have been able to commit with the money. It was proposed to open it to your subforum.
Make sure you understand that the money is collected up front. The knives may take 5-6 months for the batch to be completed.
This is contrary to how most of us buy knves, so it is important to acknowledge.
It is also important to know the pattern. The stockman is a three bladed non locking knife. It is a slipjoint knife.
There are 10 slots left (more possible if there is a flood of paid orders before I call Dave again)
Please see the thread here and give it some thought. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=561324
I am accepting paypal as a payment mechanism. That has changed from the original post. I had requested MO only, but time is now short.
Thank you for your consideration,
Ed
