Responded to a For Sale post (for a Medford) made by Mr. Maslowe here on the Forum. Immediately sent the agreed-upon $280 for the knife via Zelle which Mr. Maslowe acknowledged. That was 14 days ago. PMs to Mr. Maslowe regarding his sending the knife have been met with excuses or ignored completely. It appears my $280 is a lost cause!

I've had some personal issues, i havent been as responsive to emails or anything. My sincere apology.

I'll issue a full refund.

Your knife is out for delivery.

It was sent priority, it was supposed to be to you by the 27th. It will be delivered to you today.

This dude's right. I've sucked getting back to him (for what it's worth quite recently bladeforum goes all to gsuite junk, this has really caused me some issues lately where I'm not getting notified, and I rely on that), I gave him the wrong shipper, this in conjunction with for whaever reason the post office taking 7 days to ship something priority, doesn't look too good.

Scott

It is a good thing that you are taking responsibility.
It's going to look a lot better for me in a few hours, he'll have the knife and his money back, and the specter of "hmmmm.. maybe he was premature posting this" is going to start to rise. But he wasn't. He even warned me of this saturday, in an email I failed to get in my inbox unfortunately. The fact is the dude was nothing but patient, communicative, considerate, and as solid as you'd want a buyer. Don't want elde misrepresented or mischaracterized. It get's kinda personal on here sometimes.

Shit the bed, change the sheets. That's the best anyone can do. Way to go, once confirmed. Certainly seems like an anomaly considering the feedback history.

Now and again, when life and the whole world is pounding down on me relentlessly. I stop reading texts, emails and all other notifications for a few days or more. Self preservation in this day and age.

Wait. You're supposed to change them?

Scott.Maslowe Scott.Maslowe life isn’t fair sometimes adding all sorts of bad things when your cup is full. You have handled this more than fair as far as I’m concerned. Good on you Sir!

Amen to this.

Having one of these times myself for the last three or four months. When it starts, I say, pile it on. That way I can get it all sorted and cruise on easy street for a few years. lol

Man, you've bought/sold more knives than I have handled in 47 years. Neat stuff.

Wait. You're supposed to change them?

You didn't just change them. You threw some 800 thread count percale cotton sheets back on.

Time to let my old man hang out.

It's so rare these days to see someone own up instead of justifying. Even less likely they are generous in making it right. It always comes back around in spades. :)

I've made quite a few purchases from Scott.Maslowe Scott.Maslowe in the past. He has always been a fair, honest and stand-up guy to me.

Sometimes ... shit just happens ...

I'd have no reservations making any future purchases from Scott.

Takes a real man to admit fault and make things right. No one and I mean no one is perfect, it’s how any of us handle things when we have messed up that truly matters. Refunding the money, letting the buyer keep the knife and owning up to your mistakes takes integrity and humility.

That quote in your signature is pure gold Sir. :)

I'm glad to see one of these issues resolved and both parties acting as adults. I still choose to believe the majority of people will do the right thing, but we don't usually get to see when that happens.

I'm sorry for life bearing down on you currently Scott, but appreciate that you took responsibility and have taken steps to make it right. Lots could look at this and learn what accountability is.

I hope things improve for you soon. And I hope the OP is satisfied and both parties can metaphorically "shake hands" and be good. I think both are assests to our community from what I've seen in the past.

Mr. Maslowe is completely correct in his summation of events. And, as he stated, the knife was delivered a few minutes ago. FYI, prior to my first post (above) I contacted and advised the Mods here on the Forum. I note that Mr. Maslowe has generously offered a refund in addition to the now-delivered knife. Let me clear: the refund, albeit quite generous, is not warranted and will not be accepted.

I truly wish Mr. Marlowe nothing but the best in dealing with his current difficulties and very much appreciate his kind words above.

MODS: Will you kindly delete or close this thread?

Matter resolved, and closed at OP's request.
