Forum Members Day hike!

Nice pics guys. I used to live in Pomona and Montclair in the early 1990's. I miss hiking the Baldy area. I used to hike up there all seasons. I've backpacked up that trail a couple of times too.

Not to hijack the thread. Do you carry much different stuff on a day hike than on a multi-day jaunt Bear?
 
With tight fire restrictions by the time I pack a stove, fuel can, water pump and the other run of the mill stuff it is not a light weight or small pack situation.
