I honestly think we need a sticky that pretty much states the following:
When you enter the doors of our our forum you may get your feelings hurt and you may be called out if you do something stupid. We don't apologize for that and never will. However, if you have the intesinal fortitude to stick around this nut house then you will get real users and real experience to guide you along in your quest for knowledge and/or good-natured fun in a relaxed environment.
This forum is about learning skills, practicing those skills and using real tools to perform certain tasks. Sometimes we kill animals and trees. Sometimes we make bad jokes about controversial things. Many times we are sarcastic. And most all of the time we're politically incorrect, but there are no dumb questions here. With that said, anyone who asks questions should never wear their heart on their sleeve. Just because we may laugh at your expense, we mean no harm. The laughter goes away quickly. Hang around and suck it up and you will find the knowledge you seek from hard working, honest people that love knives and using them. This forum is more about a philosophy than it ever will be about ESEE Knives. That "philosophy" is not just about surviving 3 days in the woods but surviving every day life. We welcome all knives and users here. Period.
Bottom line: If you don't have enough balls to play in our world, then don't. Go away. Haunt some other piece of bandwidth. We are not begging for members or customers, but those members and/or customers that are part of this little subforum are family to us. And I assure you the people you meet on this forum are the cream of the crop. Most all of us would do well to listen and read what they have to say because we will learn from it. If, on the other hand, you get your feelings hurt then there is always the exchange forum that you can sell your ESEE knives and gear.
Welcome to the no bullshit world of ESEE Knives. Where the bullshit stays in the good-natured (and most always sarcastic) words typed on this forum - not in the quality of what we do with our tools or our training.
Onward!
