There were some nifty little bridges and stuff...

The sights were great but these were what really amazed me, can you believe people actually jump these on their MTB's !!!

And there were many others just as crazy !!!

great pics.... does he live in the same area as you....

those ramps and bridges are pretty darn cool.... i do a lot mtn. biking, or try to when i'm not gimpy...:o
you should see some of the videos of these guys riding those things.... there is a ton on youtube... look up north shore mtn. biking... totally nuts...
they try and build those on the trails around here, but the horse folks or rangers usually take them down pretty quick.....

those are some cool pics as always:cool:

you would need a very durable mtn. bike to jump those by the looks of them or you would be walking out:eek:

I think you would have to be pretty durable as well, or you could be medi-vaced out!:D

I've seen one or two of those videos that Mike referred to. . . Those guys are absolutely NUTS! I wonder what kind of knives they carry? :p

Sookie is one of those nuts, although he did say there were a few he would not tackle !!!

Great hike and fun to show you around Mr. and Mrs. Pitdog!

I also really enjoyed the company of Maisy- well minus the, ahem, situational odour. I miss my poor old pooch, rest his soul.

It's also really great to see your photos on this site- one of the reasons we connected in the first place was your photos and my recognition of the island's beauty in them! I have no problem sharing those images from today with our brothers and sisters in the forum:)

As Pit says, I don't ride quite all those stunts, but I do carry a knife! (perhaps I'll have to amputate my leg if I crash into a wooden ramp!) I'll have my Timberline mini pitbull wired under my saddle, a tiny zippo lock knife in my seat bag, a leatherman juice and a small Valiant golok in my pack, and a mini Camillus CQC strapped to my shoulder strap. And possibly a mini grip clipped into my pants pocket. Whoa! That's a lot of knives! Is there a doctor in the house?

Anyway, great times today I really enjoyed myself. Would love to see the pic of you and the missus in here as well;)
