Hi Guys! Yup, me again! Tried cleaning the ex. coarse stone with 60G sand paper but it got smoother! I haven't try the solvent yet but this gives me another question, is there such thing as 'fake' Lansky product? (Please, NO pun intended to any party here) Cause mine came with all the paper works and box and stuff but some how it just doesn't feel right....even the green colour panel coarse stone is begining to 'feel' like the ex. coarse stone....HELP! I've gotta find a way! If any Lansky product salesman or representives are reading this, is there anything i can do? Thanks all for your inputs in my last tread, i greatly appreciate it!!

One thing . . . DON'T get gasoline on your Lansky stones. It melts the plastic. Been there.

I've never had a problem with stones however you might want to try Diamond stones Smokey Mountain Knife works sell them, I used diamonds once it was good for changing angles.

keninshiro, get a coarse and fine diamond stone. They cut faster and can be used wet (water) or dry and rinsed afterward. I think you will like these better but I don't why you are having problems with yours clogging. Many net dealers sell them. Try Brian at discount knives.

To Will Kwan, The stone did not gum-up or anything but instead, it has a dark extremely thin fine powder like residuals. They are not metal from the blade but stone like powder.....

Hmm, I cann't understand. The sandpaper should work. Try cleanning it with a SOS pad, then try the paper again. Then clean one more time with the SOS. If this does not work maybe you should get a diamond hone and you can try rubbing it with that.

Just found out at the Blade Show West, use kerosene to clean clogged stones.Have'nt tried it yet but they said it works?
Matt.
