I received a forward curved Khukuri from uncle Bill. Almost 19" long -- close to 1/2" thick with a lot of excellant engraving on both sides. The karda and chakma also are engraved. I highly recommend getting one of these. It high-lights my H.I. collection. It is almost like an 18th century but seems to be much stronger and is heavier. I will weigh it when I can and post the results. Laced frog like the BAS and the horn handle fits perfect with no sharp edges. An excellant weapon and tool for those interested. This Khukuri is a true work of art in my opinion.

2 lbs. is a good all around weight for me. There's a lot of knife in 2 lbs. Thanks for the info uncle Bill.

You are right, Jay. There is a lot of knife there. It is about my limit -- at my age and in my physical condition bigger is not always better.
