Here is another artifact walrus ivory knife that was a sled runner and you can see on the handle notches that were cut to strap it on the sled. Wonder how many miles are on this. Found on St. Lawerance Island in Alaska by Inuit Eskimos and the artifact was made by Siberian Eskimos about 2,000 yrs ago. A rare handle. Fittings are nickel silver. I made the Damascus for it with 1084 steel laminated with 15n20 and forge welded the the blade in an unusual pattern twist pattern. Then heat treated it to 59 to 60 on the Rockwell scale. Will hold a great edge. It has a high polished finish. The blade is 4 3/8 inches long and 9 1/4" overall and comes with a handmade sheath by Rising star that is sighed.
I take check of money order. SOLD and 10.00 for priority mail.
