Dan, this is an outstanding example of Mastery of Art and Mastery of knifemaking. I regret that i'm here too late. Even though i promised myself "NO More Knives", i would have broken it for this one. Your price was too low. Pay yourself better, your work is easily worth more to us.
This is the only 'knife on a stand' that i've ever seen that i really wanted and would have proudly displayed (and eventually used and then still displayed).

Funny, I thought the same thing when I saw this knife! I've followed Dan's work for a while and always think that his work is under priced and a real steal for anyone who is lucky enough to snatch one up. I'm saving for a VFD, but if I'd been first to see this one, I would have had a weak moment and bought it. It's super nice example of real art. I'm betting it performs as well as it looks. Enjoy it Bitou!

I'll take it. Will send email

You picked a nice one, and I know you will be very happy with it. I have this knifes brother or cousin or whatever you call it and it is also a beauty. The fossilized walrus is outstanding!

I agree with those that say Dan's work is under priced. I think maybe this is his way of paying it forward and getting to do what he really enjoys. Whatever it is, we are better off for it!

Much respect Dan. I have always been amazed at your GREAT!!!! work for a 1950's price. Super job of silver smithing too. I have just learned a trick from your sheath I hadn't thought of before. Thanks Alan

Thanks guy's. Yes I sold that one to cheap. Have not had a payday in 3 weeks and needed some funds and freaked out. He got a good deal. I have some more really nice fossil walrus and will be making some more similar soon. A few a little bigger and have some REALLY outstanding cuts for some bigger ones like fighters and Bowies. I promise they will be stunning.
