Here is a walrus ivory knife that was a punch and looked to me to make a great handle. Found on St. Lawerance Island in Alaska by Inuit Eskimos and the artifact was made by Siberian Eskimos about 2,000 yrs ago. Guard and machined threaded carved button are nickel silver and ferrule is sterling silver. I made the Damascus for it with 1084 steel laminated with 15n20 and forge welded the the blade in an unusual pattern. Then heat treated it to 59 to 60 on the Rockwell scale. Will hold a great edge. The knife is 7 5/8 inches overall and comes with a f leather sheath.
