Hello and thank you for your time-i thought i'd put up a few pieces for pocket knife makers because the pieces are'nt perfect-there's great material if you have a use for it and the price will reflect that--i can only ship in the u.s. No exceptions- i wish the many talented knifemakers outside the u.s. Had the oppurtunity to pick up material here -- we dont make the rules --my pictures are'nt the best but if you ever get a piece from me and dont like it-please send it back i'll cover the return postage also-all prices include shipping--happy trails
#1-- this is a really old piece of dug ivory the core is marbled-the bottom of this piece is mostly core -- but the other side is a different tale--you dont get alot of pieces that have the jig bone effect and the whole top has this--comes from laying in the wet ground for 100's of years-i've never seen a whole tusk like this-in the pictures you'll notice this comes to kinda a tip-i'm going to measure it square- so the tip part is not in the measurement- 4 + inches long-2 3/4 inches wide-little over 10 ounces-hefty piece-130.00
#2--this piece is perfectly round and smooth from top to bottom--6 1/4 inches long-big end 1 5/8ths wide 1 inch tall small end natural tip--there's alot black in this piece and the core is showing orange-nice straight piece-225.00
#3--here's another one to cut up-this is as found never cut-it aslo has one end that is not square-not counting that and measuring square -5 inches long- 2 inches wide tapering to 1 3/8ths on the small end-this piece has a thin layer of ivory and a big core --nice greenish hues-1/2 pound -- 130.00
#4--here's a piece that has some serious wild factor--this piece has alot of blacks looks to go plenty deep--orangeish-the inside core looks like rock-i believe plenty of color to grind it baby smooth- 10 inches long-big end --2 wide bye 1 1/4 tall----maybe 2 handles--very old dug ivory--400.00
#5--beautiful piece of oosik-this is the business end--10/7/8 ths long-very uniformed on both ends --if you cut right at the crook you will at least 5 inches on the business end the other end will be a tad bigger and almost straight as a arrow-the core is about dried like bone-almost no core--this is a beautiful piece of oosik--140.00
