Fossil walrus ivory tusk tip 2.7 ounces. 4 ½ inches long x 1 inch across at the base. Fits in the hand well as a knife handle - small fixed blade hunter skinner kitchen knife. Very vivid hard to find dark blue black that runs deep and consistent. Gem quality, the best there is. The bluest side has a natural indentation -grove that should not distract from the piece, but could be sanded out if desired. Solid, no cracks well aged (over 10 years-so nice and dry- will not crack ). $130 This smaller tusk tip sold

Fossil walrus ivory tusk tip 6.9 ounces. 5 inches long x 2 x 1 shaped at the base . A hefty knife handle fits well in the hand for a large fixed blade. Could be split for scales. Vivid colors run deep to the core. Blue black brown in striking changing patterns is hard to come by. The best quality material here. Well aged, over 10 years, so very dry and stable. Selling by the weight there is a lot of material here.
$240. This larger tusk tip is probalby spoken for (see copmment exchanges below)

Hi
i'll take the two.
could you confirm that the second item have no cracks because on the first pic we don't see well
thanks and regards philippe

Hey Philippe. The smaller first piece sold only a few hours after posting. I have the second larger marked as spoken for by you till you make a decision on it. Yes the closer up end shot got blurry , guessing I forgot to put the camera on close up mode. I call it ‘crack free’ but upon closer inspection near the base – in the blurry end shot lower left corner is a ‘impact fracture’ not going into the piece about 1/8th down and ¼ across- hairline. That will probably get trimmed off and not an issue when the rough end is sanded or cut straight. I added a close up shot of that area so you can see. Anything a customer buys from me is returnable for a refund no questions or problems. I’m getting some interest in this piece listed only a day, off my web site, so let me know if you want it. I think whoever gets this will be happy with it! Thanks.
