Happy Holidays to all-here's a selection of walrus ivory for you to ponder-as always prices include shipping-paypal is great and that wont cost you either-I've collected pieces that I like and hopefully some of you can turn it into things of beauty-I appreciate the oppurtunity to serve your needs-and if you recieve a piece and it does'nt please you I'll cover the return shipping just please return the way you recieved it unaltered-not cut-Thank you for your time and consideration-
# 1---2 pieces here --1st piece is part of a artifact not sure how it was used-it has a perfect hole in the middle-the ivory surrounding the hole is very stable I put alot of pressure on it--it's solid 4 3/4 " long-1 1/4' wide on big end-tapering to a point 3 /4 " wide-uniformed thickness minimum 1/2 "feels good in either hand- 2nd piece is 5 long-3/4 wide the whole way-about 3/4 thick the whole way-both pieces solid-smooth-no cracks- both pieces- 140.00
# 2 -- beautiful color striped brown- 5 1/8 inches long-1 1/8wide on big end-3 /4 wide on small end-minimum 1/2 thick the whole way-this piece feels good in either hand but I think the left hand fit is better-beautiful colors run deep-this is beachwash ivory and one side is almost perfectly flat-you wont sand thru the colors here-2nd piece hare is a 4 1/2 inch + not counting the natural lip on one end-with the lip it measures 6 'this is a solid piece of oosik-there is NO porus area on this piece at all--Solid like a rock--both pieces--215.00
# 3-- another piece of old beach ivory-5 1/2 " long-minimum 1 3/4 wide the whole way-3/4 thick the whoile way-one side is dark grey with blackish-blue hues-this is really old ivory solid --non flaking-no cracks smooth to the feel and feels good in either hand--now the flip side to this piece-there are darker places on the flip side-most of the top layer wore off -- the ivory it left somewhat has the krackle look in places like mammoth would have---IT IS NOT THE CORE-it's alot of ivory on each side and the core on one end has blotches of black mixed- beautiful ivory--very straight -would be easy to split if desired-265.00
# 4-- 5 " long-big end 1 3/4 wide --15/16' thick--1 1/2 wide in the middle-one side has light stripes-with sutle shades of light tan and a few darker lines-the top side has alot more ivory the other side has a thin layer enough to sand before the core-interesting color mixture--alot of beach ivory with have varying colors on each side-one side has been laying down for years on the ocean floor while the other side lays exposed-there's also a little hole right at the tip which leads me to believe at one time this piece could've been a sinker-I'll price this piece for someone that would like to try ivory for the first time-145.00
again thank you for your time-I'll be out and about today--I'll go by the pm-if there is anybody interested-
