For the first time ever I am going to offer to sell something (at my wife's insistence).
This nice hunk of fossil walrus ivory measures almost 4 inches in length at the longest point (roughly 3.5" average length), averages about 1.5 inches wide, about 7/8 in at the thickest point (roughly 3/4 in average thickness), and weighs a nice 4.8 ounces. It has a lovely golden brown color all over, and is almost all the core (tapioca) material. It does have some shallow superficial cracks that can either be filled in or sanded away.
It feels great in the hand as is and would make a nice rustic handle for a hidden tang knife, or could be cut into a few sets of scales for folders.
Have a look at the photos.
Asking $150 plus actual shipping charges.
