Fossil walrus ivory from St Lawrence Island Alaska. 1.2 ounces. 5 inches long x 1 inch across at the widest x ½ inch thick at the thickest. Has hollow base as any tusk does - hollow goes in 2 inches and accounts for lack of weight. Usually the blade goes in here with resin for hidden tang on fixed blade. Fits in hand with good feel for handle on small knife. Outer patina can be sanded off and this will be a very white piece of ivory. $75

Fossil walrus ivory from St Lawrence Island Alaska. 5.7 ounces. 4 inches long x a fairly uniform 1 ¼ around . Good colors can be expected to run deep. This is an ancient artifact that could be left as is for artifact value. Fits ok as handle as is. Or could be turned on a lathe or possibly cut into scales. Might get two sets for folders. -$195
