Here are some really nice ancient walrus oosik sections for hidden tang knives. Oosik is dense, and stable, I have had these over a year, they are ready to use. It is best if they acclimate to your climate before using, two months should be fine . I am happy to answer any questions about the stuff or working with it. It is guaranteed to be legal and naturally colored, happiness is guaranteed, if you find you can't use it when you get it in your hands, return it for your purchase price back, please do that within seven days. I take all the normal forms of payment, Paypal, checks, or credit cards over the phone. The prices shown will be plus shipping and insurance, I ship using USPS flat rate shipping where I can, I ship anywhere it is legal and charge only the actual shipping charges. You may PM me, email me or call me on the phone (though sometimes I have loud machines running and can't hear it).

Mark, are these pieces suitable for cutting longitudinally? For example, to make folder scales from. Thanks

BTW: Most oosik I recall seeing is much lighter in color. Or is that my computer?

Yes, they are suitable for that, I have a very nice little folder that I put oosik scales on. These are the colors I ordinarily get, can't say I have seen them much lighter than these. The straight on photos in my thread show the actual color better than the end views, the end views seem to be darker for some reason.

Thank you.
