Found a cmp 154!

Is the CPM-154CM Bass Pro edition no longer being made ? If so looks like I might be taking a quick trip to the BPS in Destin.

For those who haven't seen one, here are some pictures of a preowned one I picked up recently. I actually like it better than the Alaskan Guide.

this is kinda what i was asking..
any one recall what year buck quit offering the 154 in the custom shop?
and how many years has buck been using the 154 on bass pro knives?
no i dont intend to make it a user ... but it would be a good one
as the blade seems to have a lower stamp then intended
in that the 154 is almost not visible above the brass when opened ...
the other he has was easly seen but this on had the
really dark rich and wonderfull looking scales some have said of seeing..:D

This is a great thread you started 110 Dave,it's a great model the BP 110.If you posted a photo of yours I'd sure love to see it.:) Thanks,Tom.

ok here is the cmp 154 and another new arrivel..
as you can see the wood is some of the darkest i have ever seen
and the stamp is a tad low on the blade...
the ranger i jest got in from the bay
it Looks factory done! but i do not have access to my data on the years it was made... i dont recall one for the rangers but being that it looked factory i had to have it...
any one care to comment on other diffrences then the year marks?
like
did i get shorted on the 154!?!?!?!

Dave, you need to resize your pictures to a smaller size. When they load, only a small portion of the picture will fit on the screen. At least for me and I'm using the 42" TV as a monitor.

Huh, the blade does look short, does it stick up out of the channel when closed?

humm odd ... mine has a date code for 2010..
i thought buck quit offerign the cpm 154 several years ago!
least it has bee a long time from when you could order one from the
custom shop!!
wow feel so out of date... any one got the details on this?
like i was jest looking and asked why that one was so much more...
yep i thought it had been over two years sence they offered that steel..

Maybe they just used up a few leftover blades and you were lucky enough to get one, Dave.

Good for you!

:D

yes could be left over blade
may go by the bass pro here and see if they have one with good stamp
and trade for it
... had hoped joe would jump in with info
but ... mayhapps one of the young'ens could dig it up...
