Found a Deal: Go For It?

I found a brand-new VG10 Civlian---the regular, serrated and right handed---with its pouch, brand new in box, at my local gun dealer and he wants to get rid of it for $100. I wouldn't mind another addition to my collection D ) and this, I know, is a real good deal. What are your opinions of this knife, and could somebody foster a review of theres? Thanks for the help.

Great knife and even better deal but knowing that your a scout (hence your signature) may I ask why other than collective purposes or SD you would need this knife?

buy it . if you like it and you can afford it , why not , i say . but these were never designed for utility cutting , these were , as mmmotorcycle says , designed purely for Self Defense purposes.

Yep, I know and I've kept that in mind---it's simply just another thing to add to my collection; my Scoutmaster (he's a full-time cop and former Green Beanie) has one and showed it to me; he had another and showed me the broken tip. I plan on being careful with it--this is a well known spydie so I figured I'd better have one in my collection (this is what my Christmas money is going towards ). hey, does he have a PE civilian or a Matriarch at a good price also? or a PE Gunting? or a PE ti Lum tanto in vg10?

I'm fairly sure that you can quite easily resell it for at least $110. As long as you have the time for that, you have nothing to lose.

Buy it, you could always sell it next year or trade it for something else you want.
Or pass the info on and maybe someone here will buy it.

Just picked it up---a sweet deal. Sorry, Spyken---none of those awesome knives are lying around the shop. What a great deal..thanks again for the advice. I really like the Civvie and at the moment don't plan on selling it or trading it.
