So I realized I was like ,”I like this Gem” but on the other hand the coating took all the great grinds away.
So…. Count to ten , flip a coin..
Yes it’s a stripper!!!
But lo and behold it’s got a great DCBB finish underneath!! What ! Wow 🤩!
Black G-10 scales really make the Finish great!!
Large CBT and Bombproof Convex tip
Hope you guys enjoy this….
So I used citri strip put it on and waited a few hours then wire brushed it off and voila!!!

So I want to see your Stripper Success Stories

Looks great! This is my favorite stripper. Started with this black coated M6.

Etched the logo with salt water and a 9v.

Stripped the coating with some stuff in a yellow can from Walmart, then used green 3M pads and followed it up with 0000 steel wool. She was beautiful under all that coating, just had to do my part to reveal her beauty.

Logo came out super crisp and deep. Love it!

Differential heat treat line is clearly visible. She’s dead sexy now!

Awesome, most of those with the Bomb Proof Tip like that one were done like that for some reason. The others not so much.
I kinda miss the surprise of stripping these beauties back in the day, but I haven't done it in years due to being too busy.
Here are some of my Stripetition Finish memories to share, Busse sure makes beautiful knives.

I hate to be the "that guy," but are you sure those are black paper scales? I have a couple of black paper micarta-scaled knives, and I can't see ANY grain in the scales of mine (both are Ratmandeux).

Edit- you are right it is G-10 I put a bright light on it and can see fiberglass reflection..
Oh well, one dream shattered and a new one’s just begun..
I believe G-10 is way stronger than paper. That’s probably why they went with this on a fighter.

Clever stuff with that etch.

It’s not canvas or G10 or linen so I’m guessing it’s paper. I’m not sure what grain you’re referring to. I think what you’re seeing is some specs from the paper towel that I used.
Really looks like black g-10 in the pics
