Found a Kershaw groove, but blade has some kind of oxidation - rescue done!

Use your dryer. Works better as a tumbler.

What's that knife Scurvy? That finish came out very nice! The second I saw that and read your method I started thinking of knives I could give the same treatment...

I just hope that bottle don't bust! My wife would slap the dog crap outta me if I made our clothes smell like WD40 forever! It's a brand new front loading LG dryer too... She'd have my head on a platter.

Oh and one more question - what finish did you start with before stonewashing it? Polished? Satin? Do you think it would take off a coating? Or maybe just stonewash the coating?

That's a blank I purchased from a custom maker. Piece of D2. I still need to finish it.

This is what it looked like when I got it (I put the wrap on it):

The bottle shouldn't bust. You just need like 2 inches of stone and a few squirts of WD40. You will get a few holes in the bottle though from the tip. Just make sure it's a good towel and taped up good.

Thank you sir for the info. I'm definitely gonna try that! Now I have to pick a blade......

To everyone else, I apologize for the slight tangent!

Good job on the rehab! I finally put the black tanto Groove that I mentioned previously on the Wicked Edge, and it took some time, but it turned out pretty good. It feels good to bring it back into usable shape.
