Today I was finishing up a blade 5160 and started to sand from 320 grit and noticed I was about to run out sanding oil, SO I looked around my shop and found some Lucas transmission fix and decided I would try some. Now I usually start off at 320 and work my way up to around 600 in small increments and usually my sandpaper will last at most 20 to 30 strokes and its time to replace. I use a pine block with a piece of leather epoxied to the bottom and have gotten good results with the oil I have used but this stuff just seemed to grab the metal and the paper lasted around 50 plus strokes!!! Man i was tickled, but it dont do well with the higher grits like 1000 to 2000. It worked like magic with 320 to 600 tho, so if noone has tried it which I am sure they have give it a try it might just work for you, Thanks to eveyone for all your help,CHarlie

I guess it stands to reason that if it can help a slipping transmission grab, it may help sand paper bite better too.
