1) did the dad get a weather forcast?
2) if he did ,why did he ignore it?
3) isn't chopping down a tree illegal?

He screwed up a lot of ways but... he kept the boys alive and they all survived. That makes them winners, IMHO. And likely a bit wiser. Maybe they will get interested in preparedness now.

Don't know what he did before he went out there but he lived and more importantly the kids lived and they will all have a Happy Holiday. He is not a moron, uneducated yes but at least he knew some measures to do to help. Please be careful stepping down off of your high horse.
