So first of all I'm new to the forum and I'm a little green on knives. Today I was at a local gun shop and a Benchmade caught my eye. Long story short I bought it. I've never seen the knife before today and don't know much about Benchmade's. I do believe it's worth quite a bit more than the $139.99 I paid for it though. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Its brand new. Box says 800-03/00 AL knife/mo. It's got a cool green handle with the butterfly logo with Bali-song in the middle. Blade steel is ATS-34.

From what I gather it's a limited edition AFCK only produced in the month of March 2000, or 03/00 AL knife/mo. I'd say you got a great deal! Nice Score!

These two sentences back to back sounded like a request for valuation when I read it.
If not, ok. Nevermind

The best way to report these is with Report Post, the triangle icon in the lower left corner of his post. Otherwise we often end up with a few people all telling the new guy the same thing, and no one telling the moderators.

I was looking for a little more information about the knife. lots of other places to look for how much they are selling for but I will take a gold membership into consideration.

The BM AFCK in ats34 was my first quality knife. Got mine in the mid 90's ish. Still have mine though it is old and worn and the butterfly logo is long gone.

I have been shopping EBay for AFCK's for years and have bought several. I've never seen the model you described until a few minutes ago. After reading your post did a Google search and one popped up on EBay. Is yours partially serrated or plain edge? And by the way you got a hell of a deal. If they have any more at that shop you should go back and buy them!

You have to be a gold member or higher to ask about knife values

One has to be a paid-in member just to ask about knife valuations? This makes no sense to me. (not trying to start anything) I'm purely curious. Can someone please point out where this is mentioned in the rules or FAQ's of this site? @ Esav Benyamin

It's to avoid someone without the proper membership to hint they may need a value assessment bc they're possibly planning on selling...kinda a shirt around the gold membership requirement to sell. By not allowing values to be asked it prevents any possible wrong doing.

Great score! The AFCK is one of the better knives Benchmade has designed. I'm hoping it gets reborn yet again sometime soon, as it's a personal favorite.

It's a classic knife! If you are perhaps looking for a flipper knife that sorta has the feel of the AFCK check out the Spyderco Southard! Enjoy knife collecting if indeed that is about to happen with you! Lol. It's a fun and sometimes crazy addiction.
