Not likely, RazorB.....too many knives and not enough dead animals.
Thanks, guys......I love these hand-shaped blades that show the skill of the artist.......and I think they spent a little more time on them to make them look this good.
Thats why i'd use it,the craftsman who built that knife maybe had a vision as he was working on it,maybe he /she pictured the person who would someday own it using it for what it was intended for,I guess thats my problem,I love using my knives too much to just let them sit in a box.
And now I have a vision of that old craftsman having his vision as he artfully shaped that blade and many others.......and I have a vision of all those beauties as they were used in the woods and mountains and valleys and were used hard and used up and exist no more.
But I have a mint one to cherish and admire and remember it all by--my own experiences and the vast panorama of the grand adventure of the American hunter......I think the old guy would like that.
I don't hang around here a lot but I love those old bucks, wish i could get my hands on one. I can't describe the looks of them... it's just.... right.
I think you would be saying to me, " Yes, it is a work from a knife artist, now one of your very own, whose spirit will be regaled under your care WHEN on occasion you are able to share its beauty with everyone thru photos here on the forum".......
Thanks, guys......we are not just users, but caretakers of some wonderful and historic treasures.
We have that honor for a few years and then.......we can only hope that guardians who appreciate them as much as we do will take over the agreeable task.
