Found another Clone on eBay

I noticed a few sellers on eBay selling NEW Commanders with pictures of the 2000 version, the screws running up the middle of the scale and the logo off to the right. The new version has the screws on the rear edge and logo closer to the tip. Usually these pictures aren't good enough to identify cross cut [philips] screws or torx.

Keeps you guessing!

This is my first post on here, though I've been registered a long, long time.
I also received one of these from the same seller on ebay (who is no longer registered), and it is NOT a REAL Emerson. I have well over 30 Produtions and Customs. I did some checking and found where at least one of these was bought from what seemed to be a company or for all you know, an indivisual in China. But the one I saw sold originaly for $22.00. I've still got the link if someone wants I can email it to them. I've learned my lesson.

Another thing, Emersons have ball bearings on either side of the blade, my clone only has one on the lock lever. The interior construction of my fake is very different. Another obvious difference, doesn't require unscrewing the knife, is the pocket clip, black on the 'out' side and unfinished on the 'in' side.
Yes I finally purchased a Torx-6 to unscrew the fake to take a look around, will post pictures eventually. A # B.

Let me tell you what I hate about the auctions for NEW Emerson Commanders on eBay even from self declared "authorized dealers"; They show pictures of the 2000 version with the screws down the middle. Other than the fact that it's not a picture of the new design is it a picture of the actual knife for sale? Why don't they tell you the year and serial number is for their NEW knife. If so it's not new and probably a clone.

I wouldn't actually mind finding a 97 98 or 99 Commander without a wave, cool.

Just felt like venting.

Here's an interesting one.

Take a look at the thumb stud, logo and hex screws.
A very nice example with good pictures.

Shipping at $15 is awfully expensive.

The auction is over and it didn't sell for very much.

Here's a view of a fake Emerson Commander Logo:

Notice the thumbstud should be black and crosscut, the sword through the year stops level with the bottom of the numbers.

Why is it that the folks who sell clones charge 2 to 3 times more for shipping as anyone else?

3 possible 2000 Commander fakes today
The thumbscrews and logos are wrong
Real Emerson Commander 2000 thumbscrews are crosshatched and black.
