Buck Vantage is a great knife.

The vantage has G10 scales, of which I'm not a fan.
The Tempest does seem like a good contender for the lower price end of my list, but I'm not too thrilled about the skeleton frame.

The Buck Sirus (or is it Syrus) is the same thing with a solid frame. Its actually the version I have and carry, I just kinda wish I bought the Tempest instead so thats why I recommended that one.

I'm pretty much set on the Benchmade 940, unless someone can come up with a reason not to go with the 940.
