Found my long lost Beretta Loveless with the help of my tractor- New Pix!

I can't say the samenfir 8Cr13MoV. It's said to be Chinese' AUS8 but it rust pretty easily. If one of it got buried like that, I think it'll pit, not only surface rust.

This is from experience of having many Sanrenmus, Enlans and Navys. And they are not even beadblasted, all are brushed/satin finished.

Again, congrats!

I got around to sharpening it yesterday and found there were a few micro spots of corrosion along the edge that I had to smooth out with an ultrafine belt. I started on the Sharpmaker but after a couple of minutes I decided to save the elbow grease and use power tools since that's why I have them.

It really didn't take a lot of work to restore the edge, especially when you consider it's been exposed to the elements for 5 or 6 years.

I bought one several years ago and liked it so much that I bought a 2nd one just in case. Easily one of my favorite knives.

I'm glad you found yours.

wow! What a story.

puts some history, and character to the blade and definitely something I'd one day tell my kids.

"and that's why this knife was always meant to be in our name and why you must always take care of it..."

Family Loveless = priceless
