Found my older Schrade Schrade 8OT Senior with a broken blade...

The sheepfoot blade is broken.

Any ideas on the possibility of a repair?

The rest of the knife was hardly used. I got it at a yard sale for 50 cents about 8 years ago and forgot about it until i found it tonight.
 
Hmmm... in theory, if one could open the bolster (thus freeing the Swinden pivot mechanism) a blade swap should be doable...

I'm sure someone who knows better than I will chime in, but I'd say possible.
 
I know Taylor said they would repair older Schrades, but why? See if you can find one of the shops that bought some of the blades and see if they will replace it. If not I would go for a new one (still USA made ones left) or get a custom maker to replace it. I isn't origional but should work well.
