Found myself in a situation yesterday

One of the greatest assets of all is to not only care, but to act for and on behalf of others, invariably strangers, whom in all probability one will never know what led them to need aid, what became of them after, nor ever see again.

And you, Reznik572, have that, you have what it takes to do the right thing, even when your mind's doing 1000 MPH, and your heart twice that, YOU did it!

All those people that drive on by, they live in fear, whilst you live in life, caring for it, breathing it..... And saving it!

No wonder you feel shook up, that's one hell of a thing that you did, scary, uncertain, risky..... You've learned more about yourself than you could have imagined!

And you Sir, have my absolute respect!

Wolves, sheep , and sheepdogs........Good job brother. .."all that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing."

You took ACTION----

Most people(not on this forum)--will wait for SOMEONE else to take action

Hat's off to you Sir!!!!!

Just think. You had lived your whole life up till that exact momemt to be in the right place at the right time. You wre probably the right person to come along. She might have jumped if it was someone else, say a family member, boyfriend, or police. You might not have thought about it, but maybe she was pregnant and you saved two lives. Your life was enriched by that moment as well. You are more than you were. Kudos also on the sleeping bag. You could leave your number with the police with permission for her to contact you. I'm sure she would like to thank her guardian angel. Regards, Loosearrow

It was that poor girls lucky day when you drove by. Good job...good chance you saved her life.

I seem to have the opposite experience as many here. The times I've stopped to lend a hand, all motorcycle or car accidents to my recollection, there seem to be almost to many others stopping to help. Same goes for the one time that I needed help (damn motorcycle accident)...people jumped right in.

Well done!

And while I understand that people might be worried about a potential danger, opening the window a little and just plain asking if help is needed can't be that much of a risk.
Or calling 911.

Nice job buddy! Salute to you and your wise actions. I hope she gets the help she needs, you did show her somebody cares.
