Found one of my grails: CRK Helix

You did a superb job of finding someone that would part with that knife, congrats indeed old chap.

Thanks everyone...

I am not sure about the wood used for the handle. It's most likely a South African variety since the knife was made there.

For those who are interested, the seller is in the process of selling his entire collection. I can provide details via pm.

He is listing them on ebay, has a prototype on there now, also has his whole collection pictured on the crk fan page on facebook

Great score.
It is a nice knife indeed and great pièce of history in the CRK world and the cutlery in general

Oh well done, what a fantastic addition! A genuine piece of knife making history.
Congratulations!
Nick

Keep coming back to this stunning old knife. Were any of the others made in damascus? The 3? others I've seen pictures of were all in what appeared to be stainless steel.

Man I just cant keep looking at this amazing knife!! I think we need to make it a "Sticky":D

Here is an early Chris Reeve Helix design folder. I was very lucky to find a collector willing to let it go from his
extensive CRK collection. There was no paperwork included but I do know this is number 12 of 20. Though
after doing some research I found out there may be a number 21 belonging to Anne Reeve.

Look forward to finding out any more details from our veteran CRK collectors.

Good question Nick...

I have never seen a Damascus version either until this one showed up.
