Found out my stepbrother has been stealing my knives

I noticed I couldn't find one, took a rough inventory, and found myself missing about $120 worth of knives. Granted most of that consisted of fairly cheap ones, but he also took my buck vantage which I rather liked. So, any suggestions for a good replacement for the vantage, and a cheap safe? I figured, since I'll be buying a new knife anyway, I might as well get something a bit different. I've been considering a rat 2 for a while.

Rat 2 is a good knife. He'll like it too.

How long are you going to keep buying him knives?

well in middle east he would be a one handed step brother... if he came back to steal again his new nick name would be nubs lol

Locking Pelican case

For sure. I have three of them leftover from my roommate days. Granted, two were free and one I got for cheap. Definitely a good investment to keep from having your knives lifted by "friends" and family. They're air right to boot so they help prevent corrosion during storage.

Edited to add: Unfortunately I learned this lesson at a bit more of a cost: a Benchmade 9100SBK and a CRKT M16-13SF. :-(

Sorry to hear, man. Be careful should you decide to tea bag his drum set.

Oh, and check out the smaller Sentry safes with touch pads . Looking at these myself.

A Benchmade Griptilian would be a perfect place to start with a new knife.

Beat his ass. Then let your fam know about the theft for further embarrassment. Then ask for the knives back, or money to replace them.

Beat his ass one day. Then when he's like "WHYYY?" Just look down at him and say "you know why". Then kick his ass again.

Thanks. Both good suggestions, though if I try to get a griptillian I'll probably be looking for a used one to come up. Also, the safe will definitely come first. Maybe I should also get an official jar of jarbenzas and a pack of rat traps to see if he goes for it.

Pepper spray his boxers and his toothbrush and camouflage the smell with febreze

Don't buy a Sentry safe. According to Youtube, you can open one in about a minute or so with simple hand tools.

I don't understand your thinking...It seems you've already gotten over your knives being stolen and are moving on? What's his story, is the lowlife mf'r going to keep stealing the knives you worked hard for?

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely upset about it. In fact, I was nothing short of livid when I first found out. Before anything else though, I want to prevent it from happening again. Then I'll deal with the current situation. Acting rashly tends to make things worse, so I am going to wait and calm myself properly before moving forward.

Your a better man than I my friend.

You may be interested in the Kershaw-Emerson knives as well, there are different models to choose from.

You know, I had always kind of passed over those before, but the CQC-2K and 1-K look like great EDC sizes. I'll definitely look into those. I used to love huge knives, but now I find 2.5-3.25" blade lengths preferable.
