That's really neat. Kind of curious as to what you had to give for it. I like the ivory looking handle, and a nice pic. Have you checked if there's a demand by collectors?

Thanks, I am just getting into knife collecting. But collect guns for a while. I actually had no idea what I was buying when I got it. I just knew it was really unique and very cool. After doing some research it seems they are rare now.

bt93 I think there is a demand with collectors. They made these without the ivory looking handles. But with the ivory and print etc, I think there pretty rare. I don't want to say what I paid for it lol.

That is a great find and looks to be in excellent shape. Congratulations!

Back in the day belt buckle knives were all the rage. That is a nice find.

Well, I did some research for you and it looks like these go for....with the mallard (or are they geese??) motif, and in that condition - anywhere from $12 - $18. I kid...I did no such research brother, but even finding that in the first place is a score no matter what you paid. I love buying something at those little antique/thrift shops & then finding out that the item is legit. I picked up a standard sized hand saw a couple years back in a little store for $5...in nice shape & obviously old...I found examples on the auction site for around $200 - and it still cuts like a champion!

Witurner, good find! I too found one of these locally, but mine was attached to a belt on the rack at goodwill! I paid $.99 and didn't know anything about them either until I looked em up. I resold mine locally for a good profit, as it had no real appeal to me and it was not clear on the legality of wearing it. It was definitely cool, though, and I think mine had a bass on it. They are absolutely collectible, good score.
