Found this 25ot at a yard sale, I was wondering if it was old and how old it is?

I'm no expert, my guess would be maybe from the mid/late ' 70's to early 80's?
Great score, regardless of age.

Finding anything in that condition at yard sale prices will be a nice score:)

Congrats, Garza; I don't have the expertise to date it for you, but it sure seems like a wonderful find to me!!:thumbup:
That box is very cool and I love the sheath (I've been wanting to try a sheath with that simple style of lacing); is that a whetstone included, too?

Post that in the Schrade Collectors forum corner. It's from the 1960s or maybe 1970s. Someone over there will be able to date it more accurately from the sheath style and packaging.

Looks like it is the original sheath; it fits the box sheath pocket perfectly, and if the knife is put in the sheath tip down, the sheath follows the lines of the knife.

It could be, I just haven't seen one like it. My 25OT has the same box cutout, but the sheath doesn't look like yours.
The guys at the Schrade forum should have more info for you.

Thanks guy, I just posted on the schrade forum, I love this knife and what to know more about it

It is The Original sheath. And a rare one. I think it was only used in the first year or so that the 25OT first came out, which was 1964. Before that it was called a "225" or "225H" "H" = hole; for a lanyard.
