I always like to give more than I receive; it makes me feel more like the solution than the problem. Don't get me wrong, I really like to receive, but giving is where it's at. In just now updating my knife spreadsheet, I found that I am wanting in the giving department. I keep track of the value of knives I've received as gifts and given as gifts, and I'm a little behind (I got a couple of nice ones for Christmas!). So here is one to put me back ahead!
Up for grabs is a 2007 GEC Tidioute #53 pattern muskrat, with 1095 blades and antique green jigged bone. The jigging pattern is actually "scratting," as found on one of Charlie's TC Barlows. They made 125 of these with serial number, but this is one of only five without serial number, so may have some value to collectors in the future, who knows. Anyway, it's a beautifully made knife.
I would like this giveaway to be open only to forumites who have either never won a giveaway, or never owned a GEC pocket knife. Honor system, of course. To enter, tell us about a time when you gave something of your goods or your time to help someone else. We'll keep it open 'til Monday at noon, after which I'll draw a number and ship out the knife.
Let's hear those heartwarming stories!
