am trying to get a lb7 with a serial number of 57830, this is the earliest i have seen a serial number so hopefully i will be able to snag it. my earliest one is 130922 and is a bit loose so this will be a very nice slot taker to my collection.

Delmas:
My original LB7 that I wore out once and had rebuilt by the factory has a number of C21007. If I remember right, I think I got it around 76 or 77, friends dad got it for me with some kind of gift thing the factory had for employees. (long time ago, I do not remember)

I do not use that one anymore, don't want to wear it out. Have a Scrimshaw LB7 second, cracked delrin, and I have my new 88 HD LB7.

You seem to know a lot about serial numbers, didn't know if my C-number was anything special or not.

I have R47839 here. Not sure what year that is. Somebody here told me an approx. mfg. year a while back. Codger had an LB7 serial # project going for a while.

thx - cpr

got these from codger a long time ago. i guess after 81 the serial numbers were too hard to look at.
in looking at the price lists the whole series didn't appear til round 81 also.

I still have mine, 12202. It was my first hunting knife and was given to me by my parents for Christmas 1979.
