Four Bladeforums DE Shaving Starter Supplies Kits to Give Away

The Gentlemen's Quarter very kindly sent me some samples to give away to members here at bf.c to promote DE shaving.

I've assembled these into the first ever, four Bladeforums DE Shaving Starter Supplies Kits. Each kit includes a sample puck of a selected Gentlemen's Quarter scent shaving soap, ten blade samples (Dorco, Derby, Bic, and Feather), one bonus blade of a different brand, and two samples of selected colognes. (No aftershave because this is a very personal selection based on skin type.)

These kits will go to the first four people who:

A) Are bf.c members (any category)

B) Are new to DE shaving and agree to begin (including acquiring a razor and brush) within one month of receiving your Blade Forums DE Shaving Starter Supplies kit

C) Agree to make a few posts here on the Razors, Scissors, & Personal Grooming Forum to report on your experiences

and

D) Post IN THIS THREAD claiming your place in line (I'll e-mail or PM you (make sure your profile information is current) to get your postal address to send your kit to.

These kits are ready-to-go to right now.
 
I started again a few weeks ago -- and I also used a double-edged razor before Gillette came out with the twin blade. I guess I don't count as new.... :(
 
I would like to get the starter package!

Here is my Gillette DE I won in a giveaway on another forum...never had the ambition to try but now is the perfect time!!

Cool offer. I started using a DE about a year ago when I got fed up with the high prices of the multiblade stuff. I just ordered several different blades too so I'll be riding that learning curve a bit. Obviously I'm not eligible but wanted to say that for anyone on the fence, "jump".

Very cool of the company and of you to offer them up here.

Well I thought I was new to DE shaving but I went back and looked guess its been longer then I thought. I got my DE on 06-07-2010 and had my first shave with it on 07-07-2010. Time flies when you are having fun:p
 
Wow! That went fast!

Messers gundude73, Andy'sLeatherHouse, dinozzo, kinzli, and TundraR will receive the five -- yes, now five -- complete kits with soap, blades galore, and colognes.

Messers unky_gumbi, SDS, and Cougar Allen -- who are already DE shavers but have not tried TGQ soap -- will receive my extra TGQ soap samples... and a few other goodies too to make the shipping worthwhile.

This give away is now done. Look forward to these eight members posting their experiences and opinions.





I know that some may be disappointed that they weren't able to get in on this. I'm sorry, but I honestly didn't expect it to go this fast... not by far. The members who have accepted these kits have committed to make a significant purchase (razor and brush which will cost at least about $25) and to make a major change in their lives. I honestly expected that it would take months... weeks at least... not minutes to find four -- much less five! --members willing to sign up for that. Hopefully, there will be another opportunity to do something like this in the future and we'll take a different format. In the mean time, please be happy for the good fortune of your fellow members and consider taking up DE even without a starter kit.

My favorite DE is similar to this one (Gillette NEW) Let me tell you it's an amazing shaver, better than my Fat Handled Tech. It will go through 3-4 days growth without any trouble.

As for TGQ soaps some people will have for their first soaps... well it's like if your first knife was a custom. Get a dollar store ramequin or something similar to keep it. I just love that soap.
 
Well after browsing the TGQ web page it looks like I am going to have a few soaps to try out once I get my arm back:p I am going to wait to get my sample from this and go from there. I have been reading the reviews from that shaving forum and you would almost think people were paid to say good things about this soap, thats some really high praise for a product, I am excited to get the chance to try it:thumbup: Thanks Gollnick
 
Those packages are all on their way. With the exception of Mr. unky_gumbi whose package will take 10-14 days according to the Post Office, the rest of you can expect your bundles within a week.

This means that gundude73, Andy'sLeatherHouse, dinozzo, kinzli, and TundraR all have one month to assemble the rest of their new shaving kits.

With any luck I will get the sample soap before my surgery date and get a couple of uses in before hand, 12 days and counting.
