Four Foxy Follys Arrive, Here's the Deal and small pix.

I asked Miss Yangdu if she wanted me to post the pix she sent me of the two Foxy Follys to see if four of the guys signed up wanted them in lieu of the ones to spec because some might be anxious to get theirs and these four should be collectors item's when the ones to spec finally do make it to production.
Miss Yangdu told me to go ahead.:D

Sorry about the small size of pic but the software here only allows 100 kb. I have to say that from the pic Miss Yangdu sent me these are really nice looking and like I said, "Are to spec except for the brass fittings and habaki bolsters."

So in order to make it as fair as possible here's the deal.
If any of the guys on the list want one of these then the first four that posts after 9:00 p.m. CDT today saying they want one in lieu of the steel mounted 17" Foxy Folly will get them.
Doing so will remove you from the list to get the "to spec steel mounted 17" Foxy Folly." If you ordered two then you will be taken off the list for one of them.
Please state your preference of handle color. The white ones are White Saatisal and the dark ones Chandan, first come first served and remember, there are only four of them.;)

Also in order to make it fair as possible if no one on the list wants one, and that will be okay, then these four Foxy Follys will be put up for sale for the going price of $150.00 each. IMO they *Are* that nice as much as I can tell from the pic.:cool:
The first four that aren't on the list to post after 9:00 p.m. CDT today will get one for $150.00 if the ones on the list don't take them first. One helluva deal!!!! :D :cool: :D

Yvsa, If no one on the list wants one of these how exactly are they to be sold. Just like a daily special at some point? I ask because well I want to be on the "Johnny-come-lately" list if there is one. :D I do love the steel fittings but I want one of these and did not sign up for these when I had a chance. What can I say the blade has grown on me over time. Anyway thanks for putting this up and the help.
 
I'll take one with a chandan handle. Please send mine to Steve Ferguson, as there's a certain Nepalese med school student who.... ;)

First ones posting will be determined by the time they posted on this thread. When notified that you were a winner by me by email you can email Miss Yangdu with how you are going to pay and when.
If you don't have your email listed you might want to drop me an email so I can let you know, otherwise I'll have to do it here on the forum.

That's as fair as I could make it. Everyone from Eastern Standard Daylight Time to Pacific Standard Daylight Time ought to be able to post right after 9:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time.

I'll do my damnedest to stay awake and alert around this time for at least an hour but I haven't been real well the last few days so if it's morning by the time you are notified please forgive me.:(
 
Yvsa, read the not so fine print. Please disregard this post... Bottom line is that I'll wait for my pre-paid one and hope they add the steel fittings and right bolster. If one of these is left though, I might be tempted! :D

They're beautiful. Unfortunately, I will be in the air at 9:00 pm CDT. Anyway, can you tell us the specs: weight and overall length and handle length of these.

When I get home after midnight PST, I"ll see if any are left so please post them as sold if they are sold.
 
If I'm still up, I'm going to make a grab for one. I'm looking forward to putting one of these through its paces. The brass doesn't bother me. I'm a sailor. I'm used to it.

Makes me glad that I ordered two. :)

For the record, the next time that we do a special run like this, I'm going to preorder a bunch - I don't want to miss any of the variants. ;)

Here's my question: is the final run going to feature a variety of handle materials, and if so, what are we looking at? I don't know the first thing about white saatisal but it looks damned nice.
 
The FF on the right looks just like the one Yangdu sent me. How thick are the spines on these, Yvsa? Mine is about 5/16" at the thickest area.

The only (and mean only) reason I wouldn't want white saatisal on my Folly is because I want it to match the chandan of my FFF/Singing Folly/Folly SL. You're right, it does look damn nice. :) I bet all the woodchucks are lusting after it.

I even put it in BOLD font.:grumpy:
I hope you aren't serious and made a bunch of work for Miss Yangdu and me.:grumpy: :(
If you are out of the country then you'll just have to set your alarm, sorry but I didn't stutter when I made the post.;) :)

Sorry if it pissed you off but I made it as fair as I possibly could for everyone. If you don't want to familiarize yourself with the Greenwich Mean Time and the World's Time Zones no skin off my nose.:rolleyes: :grumpy:
