Mods, maybe you should ban him anyway just in case he keeps adding posts after he said he'd be gone. pmel018 is the one who didn't want to bother with figuring out the time zones, if he's that far away then he just has to accept it that he's at a disadvantage. He should be saying thanks for the knife instead of criticizing. The way Yvsa did it was very fair, Thanks Yvsa.
Why? He may be a complainer, but I don't think that he's done anything to deserve exile.

No, I think you are right, and banning someone for this kind of disagreement and hard feeling is not the way to go and counterproductive in the long run. People should be able to voice dissent and anger without getting the boot.

But, at present the only person mentioning exile is Pmel himself. How else was Yvsa supposed to handle the distribution of 4 knives a whole bunch of folks wanted? Do you think that if he had sent it to Pmel out of turn that he wouldn't have gotten a whole bunch of abuse (albeit probably polite abuse!) from folks who missed out for violating his own rules?

Oh, by the way, I am actually emailing from the year 1898 from my time machine, and have prepaid, so I get first crack at them before ALL of you! I'll take a white saatisal one please. :D

I hope Pmel calms down and realizes the obvious that no one was messing with him, just trying to be fair to all.

Pmle018, let's just put it down to a bad day with harsh words unfortunately exchanged for whatever reason and put this behind us. I for one hope you will give some thought to the way it had to be done and reconsider abandoning your participation in the forum.

Regards,

Norm

I agree; no need to ban the poor guy just because he didn't read and/or comprehend the sale terms. By E-mailing early w.r.t 2100 CT CONUS, he made a faux pas and lost face in the process. To save face, he has chosen the Tiger Route on the Path to the One True Kukri (sic).

Safe voyage, and may he find what he seeks.

Yvsa: "No good deed goes unpunished," eh? Well, this former Marine salutes you. Semper Fi, my wise fellow Cantinista.

To all - I am sorry to be away from my computer at this time. Thanks for taking care of this, Yvsa. I know it can get messy....and fast.

Phil - please email me. This is a misunderstanding that can be easily cleared up. You're still one of the good guys in my book. I'm sorry for the mixup - poor timing. Please continue to post here.

Did they all get sold?
