Leave something written for him when you are gone and he is on his own. Not a knife, nor a piece of material goods, but something from your heart...about you, your life today, how you came to be who you are, and what the thought of him and his life evokes in you.
Then protect it,and put in a bank or someplace that will take care of it. It will be a great gift to him in his future...your voice from today.

I didn't know any of my grandparents. My grandma (mom's side) lived with us for quite a few years but was senile when she moved in and eventually had to be placed in long term care.What a great idea though Kis!!
I would love to have something from my grandpa like that--he knew me until age 3 or so, but I have no memories of him. I started my own family earlier than I would have ideally liked because my parents are getting up there in years (75 and 72(I think)) and I want my kids to have a chance at knowing them.
How great that Yvsa's GREAT grandkids will have memories of him

Heeehe! I'm laughin here. I like collecting racial slurs for white folk, which I can do, cause I'm a Teutonic American meself. My Korean buddy Chul used the term "Roundeye" which always got a laugh from me. Actually, I guess that one could apply to most non-asians...
When Chul's hair was really long, he was oft mistaken for an ndn, but NdN woman!!! Heeehee!
Yvsa, How long you been growin that hair? I gotta buddy wose been growing it fer like 15yrs, blonde hair, down to his A55 now. braided, it is still really long, but findin someon to braid it....thats another story.
