I finally got to spend some time in the shop after what seemed like FOREVER, so I finished up a few I've been working on for quite a while. Three are a new model called the Alpine Valley, and the fourth is a Legend Creek Plus (a Legend Creek with sculpted handle scales). Each one comes with a Kydex sheath.

First up: Alpine Valley in Desert Ironwood I had avoided using Desert Ironwood b/c it's so expensive but now that I've used it, it's knocked bocote out as my favorite! The way it glows is just awesome!
Steel - 1080 @ 57.5-59HRC ground from 1/8" stock
Hardware:SS
OAL: 7.875"
Blade: 3.75" tip to ricasso
Grind: Convex
Finish: Satin
Price:$96-SOLDshipped in the USA

I etched a little prematurely, so a lot of the etches got sanded off during finishing, as shown in these photos:

Next up: Alpine Valley in Kingwood This one and the cocobolo have nice fat handles that feel great in the hand!
Steel - 1080 @ 57.5-59HRC ground from 1/8" stock (I ground this one a little thinner when flattening the profile so its closer to 3/32")
Hardware: Aluminum
OAL: 8"
Blade: 3.875" tip to ricasso
Grind: Convex
Finish: Satin
Price: $96-SOLD shipped in the USA

This one has some scratches that developed during etching as shown here, and the etching turned out kinda jacked up:

I like the knives, But this is just plain { Respect } that I have never seen from another new maker...

I'm a hobbyist making knives in my spare time, and my pricing reflects that. If you can afford to spend a little more, buy a knife from a full-time maker. You won't be sorry!

I wish you the best of luck an great success friend..

Thanks very much to both of you, I realize that pictures don't often do justice to the level of craftsmanship that makers who do this full time are able to attain (nor could they w/r/t qualities such as finely tuned heat treat etc. which obviously can't be conveyed in a photo), so I'd like people to realize how uniquely valuable a piece from a FT maker really is. I do my best in the time I have, but there really is no substitute for the experience and commitment of a full time craftsman.

If you will accept my personal check for payment and ship the knife when the check clears the bank I'll take
the Alpine Valley with the derert ironwood scales. Please reply to my e-mail add.gmh370601@aol.com. Thanks G Hale

Both models look like great hunting knives

Thanks Troutfisher! I like your name and avatar! There's pretty decent fishing around here. I'd like to start working with some stainless steels so I can start making some bird&trout knives.

Nice knives. Good luck to you, hope you sell them all..

Thanks Jim! I do too, but if I don't they'll always have a welcome spot in my already chock-full drawer-o-knives!
