Thank you Gentlemen: In over 30 years of knife shows I have only had two stolen, I can not estimate how many thousands of the patrons of lady knife have passed by my table.
The exception that stands out so predominately is a fine tribute to the honest citizens of the world of knives. Dog bites man does not make news as the event is so common, but let man bite dog and the world hears about it.
I strongly feel that I could not have chosen a finer place to be than the world of knives, 99.9999% of our citizens are good honest folks and it is a fine place to be.
Detective Wade Wagnon of the Cobb County Police Department Precinct Three is working on the case and I have to say that I am greatly impressed by his competence, enthusiasm and happy to say the investigation is progressing nicely.
Sounds like the former USSR has become what Colombia was in the 1980's as far as the prime destination for stolen luxury items. As a result, today you generally can't import a used car into the country.I have been discussing knife crime with some friends from the Israeli police and their European counterparts.. These guys tell me that knife crime is extremely prevalent, and that most of the stolen property ends up in ex-USSR states, primarily Russia. Apparently there is a large market there. The big fear is that it will end up there.
Let's face it, if the knife appeared on the open market in the West, we would know about it. It's not like you can't distinguish it at first glance. Even on Ebay, enough collectors check the knives section regularly hoping for bargains. This community is honest enough to know that stolen knives are not a bargain.
I sincerely hope that Ed gets his knife back.
