Fox karambit

So I was reading here on the forum about the lock fail on the fox karambit. I watched the video on you tube of it failing but,that looks to be several years old now. Does anyone out there have any first hand knowledge about a fix of this problem?

I believe they switched to a lockback.

Ahh it's the 599 that's a lockback but the other models are
